Congratulations to Bridging the Gap: A Young People’s Guide to Living in Japan, for winning the 2021 MAM Award for Best Book on Migration, non-fiction/guide category!

Written by Kakehashi 架け橋, in partnership with the 笹川平和財団 The Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the book is a practical guide meant to help young Filipino-Japanese migrants face personal identity and social integration challenges, as illustrated through the retelling of real-life stories of individuals who overcame those challenges.
